Flexible Dayshift Weekday Hours - On Call 1 Weekend/Month

As an ER/Outpatient Float Nurse, you’ll provide skilled, compassionate nursing care for patients of all ages in both emergency and outpatient settings. This is a varied, hands-on position for an RN who enjoys critical thinking, teamwork and the opportunity to care for people across a wide range of needs.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assess, triage and care for emergency patients of all ages

  • Respond confidently and efficiently to changes in patient condition

  • Coordinate closely with physicians, providers and other members of the care team

  • Assist with emergency and outpatient procedures, treatments and diagnostic testing

  • Provide medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring and other skilled nursing care

  • Educate and support patients and families throughout their care

  • Help create the respectful, safe and personal experience SCMH patients know and value

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Kansas RN license or eligibility for licensure

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification

  • PALS and TNCC certification within 6–12 months of hire

  • Strong assessment, communication and critical-thinking skills

  • A team-oriented nurse who values compassionate, patient-centered care
